HELP
Below, you will find answers to a few of the most
common questions we receive here at Wav Central
Q: How do I save these great sound files to my hard drive?
A: All you have to do is click the right mouse button on
the link. Then a menu will pop up in your browser. Drag this
menu down to the option that says something like "save link as..." or "save
as" and select that option. This will allow you to pick the directory
where you would like to keep the file on your hard drive, and then it will
start downloading.
Q: Don't you guys like the Simpson's and the X-files anymore?
You used to have sounds from these two shows. Where did they go?!?!
A: As stated on our home page, all sounds contained herein
retain their original copyrights from their respective creators.
But, Fox still requested that we remove any and all sound clips from their
tv shows. So, in compliance with this request, we removed the above
mentioned two pages. We do regret that we had to take down two of
our most popular sections, and although there are still sites out there
that have sounds from these two shows, they are doing it against the wishes
of the copyright owners.
Q: I LOVE THIS SITE!?! How can I be a Sponsor?
A: Contact our advertising agency at http://Burstmedia.com. Let them know you're interesting in advertising on Wav Central!
Q: Why am I having troubled VIEWING the content on this site... the pages appear BLANK sometimes?
A: You're probably using an OLD browser -- one that doesn't support advanced tables.... Download a better
browser from NETSCAPE or MICROSOFT.
Q: I really love the sounds that you guys have, but I want
to record my own sounds. Can you tell me how to get started?
A: While we could go ahead and write a "How to create your
own .wavs" section, the nice folks at moviesounds.com have already set
up a really nice page on this very topic which you can find here.
Q: I really want a sound that does 'blah-blah-blah' -- why don't you guys have it!?! Do you know where
I could find it?
A: Unfortunately, we're quite busy developing this site -- and really can't search for a single sound...
Try going to Lycos or Filez and search for the sound
you need. If you'd like us to then add the sound to THIS site -- feel free to let us know WHERE to download the sound.
Q: I read through this whole help page, but you didn't
answer my question. Now what am I supposed to do?
A: Drop us an email at: webmaster@wavcentral.com
page.
